Course Introduction 01

From the metaverse to Apple Vision Pro, from the globally popular AR Pokémon to MR technology-enhanced journeys through the solar system. Spatial computing and mixed reality technology are reshaping the way we interact with the digital world, presenting new challenges for future designers: how to create intuitive and natural interaction experiences in a blended virtual and physical environment? How to leverage spatial perception and environmental understanding to design more immersive products? When meaningful narratives are constructed in three-dimensional space, another reality will be born from our hands.


"DesignX Spatial Computing and Mixed Reality Design" will comprehensively introduce you to the core concepts, technological principles, and design principles of spatial computing and mixed reality from both theoretical and practical dimensions. The course covers the complete design process from brainstorming to prototype development, where you will flexibly use design thinking and speculative design to expand creativity and imagine new realities; and utilize user research and demand analysis methods to deeply understand target users' behavior patterns and needs in mixed reality environments, transforming ideas into viable product solutions. In the practical segment, you will have the opportunity to use industry-leading development tools such as Unity, ARKit, Bezi, etc. to hands-on create mixed reality prototypes and explore mixed reality-based narrative and expression techniques, creating more engaging virtual space experiences.
