The brain is the most amazing organ of the human body. The brain is in charge of human cognition of the external world, and the electrical signals between its neurons are like the stars in the night sky. With the development of modern technology, our understanding of the brain has deepened, and industries inspired by neuroscience, such as AI, have seen unprecedented development. However, the exploration of the human brain and mind still has a long way to go; the next milestone breakthrough in AI seems distant, while cognitive neuroscience is currently the most powerful means of exploration.
"BioX Cognitive Neuroscience" will take you deep into understanding the basic structure of the brain, advanced cognitive functions, and more. Engage in cognitive experiments to learn experimental principles and deepen theoretical understanding; through reading papers and participating in roundtable discussions, explore the intersection of neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, and other disciplines, combining current hot topics such as brain-machine interfaces, and pondering and discussing the possibilities of future cutting-edge cognitive neuroscience technology.

Will present on the theory of higher-order emotional consciousness at the 2023 Association for the Scientific Study of Consciousness (ASSC) annual meeting. Previously researched the role of semantic integration in the generation of phenomenal experience within the Neuropragmatics group of the UK Linguistics Association. Former member of the Chinese Linguistics Olympiad national team, won bronze at the Asia-Pacific Linguistics Olympiad. Enthusiast of Star Wars and Tolkien, enjoys LEGO electronic design and completing single-player video games.

Researched the impact of different emotional states on the endogenous opioid system's enkephalin pain modulation during high school. Explored the feasibility of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) for regulating sleep in the X-Capstone project. Organized neuroscience and biology popular science classes in multiple domestic and international primary and secondary schools, and participated in the organization of the Brain Bee neuroscience competition in the St. Louis area.

In each year's X ACADEMY summer program, the ratio of mentors to explorers is 1:5, with 1-2 mentors and 2-5 course assistants (academic leaders) in each course. Compared to traditional large classes, you will have more abundant opportunities for communication and learning.
