Course Introduction 01
The birth of each building continuously changes the spatial quality and user experience of a city. Behind the urban landscape within sight is a dynamic stage that architects and urban planners have set up for human life and destiny. Simultaneously, various new technologies assist in generating more diverse architectural space schemes, thus forming what appears to be a rather complete urban structure and function. However, the definition of architecture and the city remains fluid. As urban problems become increasingly complex, the entry of different structural materials into the local context will retrace our understanding of the city, involving a reconsideration of our understanding from personal life to natural ecology, and rethinking the future of architecture and the city.
"DesignX Architecture and Urban Design" will lead you to learn the history of Eastern and Western architecture, contemporary architectural design methods, modernist design concepts, contemporary urban theory, and understand and practice how architects over the centuries have created new harmonious spaces between traditional and modernist design, natural and architectural environments through digital modeling, handcrafted models, and site surveys. Subsequently, you will analyze independent issues in the city, use space mapping and AI tools to simulate construction, and produce architectural floor plans, cross-sectional drawings, and renderings.

A feast of light and shadow, in the form of a virtual architectural exhibition you curated, it immerses visitors in a dreamlike space woven by digital technology through interactive experiences, each corner representing poetic imaginings of the limitless possibilities of future architecture.
An image record that is more than a narrative, it is a visual dialogue between light, shadow, and architecture, displaying how architecture, as the stage of life, transitions its atmosphere and expression between everyday and festive occasions, dawn and dusk, captivating audiences to explore the stories behind each detail.
A multidimensional design for a public space, ingeniously blending the tranquility of a library with the liveliness of an art gallery, reshaping people's perception of urban life through models and augmented reality technology, leading them to discover a new realm of social and personal experiences.
An exquisite physical model not only showcases the external design of the architecture, but also demonstrates how light and shadow flow through every corner, integrating the building with its surrounding environment into a tangible, palpable entity and story.

How is the student-teacher ratio in the major courses?
In each year's X ACADEMY summer program, the ratio of mentors to explorers is 1:5, with 1-2 mentors and 2-5 course assistants (academic leaders) in each course. Compared to traditional large classes, you will have more abundant opportunities for communication and learning.
